Effect of Salinity and Magnetically-Treated Saline Water on the Physiological and Agronomic Traits of Some Bread Wheat Genotypes

THE PRESENT investigation was carried out to evaluate the effect of salinity and saline water magnetization on physiological agronomic traits 32 bread wheat genotypes determine changes in soil properties. These were grown pot experiments under greenhouse conditions during winter growing seasons 2017/2018 2018/2019 at Faculty Agriculture, Sohag University, Sohag, Egypt subjected tap (control), levels (2,500 5,000ppm) magnetically treated water. Results showed that values soluble cations anions significantly lower magnetic (TMW). Moreover, had a positive relative content by 7.84 7.10%, chlorophyll concentration 6.03 9.92% attributed decrease canopy temperature 7.98 10.23% respectively contrast with 2500 5000ppm Also, it increased plant height 6.66 13.10%, 4.39 4.27% for number spikes/plant, 5.18 8.18% spike length, 5.13 10.57%, biological yield/plant 6.89 7.94% grain compared irrigation Indeed, more studies are required declare impacts growth, yield quality other different crops. Stress Susceptibility Index (SSI) revealed lines 9, 16, 3 recorded lowest 0.57, 0.75 0.76, respectively, this showing relatively salt tolerant genotypess introducing new genetic sources tolerance into breeding programs.
